    Goal
The goal of the Child Support Division at the Platte County Attorney’s Office is to dedicate a team effort to improve the well-being of the Platte County children and families. We provide services in a fair, consistent, and timely manner. Lastly, we build respectable relationships with our community, courts, and other agencies that we work with.

    Representation
The county attorney (or authorized attorney) represents the state of Nebraska and the best interest of the child. Our office does not represent the custodial parent or the non-custodial parent.

Note: We do not address custody, visitation, or any other matters outside of child support and health insurance. If you wish to be represented or to address additional matters, you will need to hire a private attorney or file pro se (on your own) using the self-help forms at the Nebraska Supreme Court website: supremecourt.nebraska.gov

    Main Focuses

    • Locating the non-custodial parents
    • Establishing paternity
    • Establishing, modifying, and enforcing health insurance/medical support
    • Establishing, modifying, enforcing, and collecting support payments

    Making a Payment
The Nebraska Child Support Payment Center/Customer Service Center is a good resource to contact if you have questions about your child support case or if you would like to make a payment. Remember that all court-ordered child support payments should be made to the Nebraska Child Support Payment Center. You will need your ARP ID number to make a payment online; you can find that ARP ID number by looking at your monthly billing statement or income withholding orders or by calling the Nebraska Child Support Payment Center at 1-877-631-9973 Option 3.
