General Assistance can help with rent, utilities, and medical situations if application is approved. Approval is based on income, family size, and individual situation. Applicants need to have been employed for 90 consecutive days out of the last six months. Medical and other assistance need to be supported with documentation.

We do not assist with deposits, food, phones, insurance, car licensing, or repairs.

General Assistance Services Update

Effective immediately, we are not accepting new applications for General Assistance as we are in the process of transitioning these services to East Central Health, effective October 15, 2026.

On October 15, 2026, we will post a new phone number for individuals who need assistance or have questions regarding General Assistance services through East Central Health.
