    Mission
    Actively promote the rights and interests of crime victims by providing them with a voice and advocacy as their case moves through the criminal justice system.

    Purpose
    The Victim Assistance Unit provides information, referrals, assistance, and personal and criminal justice-related advocacy to victims of crime in Platte County who have suffered physical, sexual, financial, or emotional harm as a result of the commission of a violent crime.
